Chamber Orchestra is a non-conducted string ensemble limited to 16 members. This advanced-level group focuses on refining musicality through the study of advanced performance techniques, sight reading, and music theory. Students develop collaborative skills in a chamber setting, performing challenging repertoire that emphasizes precision, balance, and independence.
Students are required to participate in all concerts, festivals, and performances scheduled for this ensemble by the University Instrumental Music Program, including the NEMEA Solo/Ensemble Competition in January.
Performances: Three concerts on campus, regional festivals, solo/ensemble competition, outreach performances, and graduation.
