By the end of Trimester 1:
Students will identify at least 20/52 letters by name.
Students will have concepts of print. (tracking left to right, 1:1 print to speech correspondence)
Students will identify at least 7/52 high frequency words by sight.
Students will identify 10/30 letter sounds.
Students will write at least 10 uppercase and 10 lowercase letters.
Students will write their first name independently.
Students will label pictures with the initial sound with the help of a visual letter reference sheet.
