The first trimester of kindergarten focuses on developing an understanding of numbers 0-10.
We will expect mastery of numbers 0-5.

Writing, ordering and recognizing numbers 0-10.
Identifying plane shapes (circle, square, rectangle, triangle, hexagon) and their properties.
Comparing numbers to 10, identifying them as having greater than, less than or equal.
Decomposing numbers less than or equal to 5 into parts. (5 is 3 and 2. 4 and 1 make 5)
Adding onto 5 to compose numbers 6-10. (5 and 2 make 7, 5 and 4 make 9)
