Yayoi Kusama Style Pumpkins!
Yayoi Kusama is a 90 year old contemporary artist from Japan. Her sculptures, installations, and paintings are often recognized for being COVERED in polka dots! Since some of her favorite things are pumpkins, we've been working on line, shape, and form to draw our own pumpkins in Yayoi's style. Next, we needed to concentrate more on pattern and space to paint her famous dots! Check out some 3rd grade work below!

These clever looking bears will warm your hearts with their cozy sweaters and cute expressions! Third graders were awesome at working with line and shape in order to create some form and texture on their bears. Amazing! Great job, 3rd grade!!
