Did you know we just celebrated the 50th anniversary of EARTH DAY? So cool! In honor of our earth, I have a lesson here on how you can make your own crayons at home! It's so fun. Check out my slideshow to see for yourself!
Peep and the Big Wide World Video - COLOR MIXING
I love the double rainbow on this one :)
Here I am by my front door :)
And here are the windows on the sides of my door... you know I love rainbows and Roy G Biv!
This is NOT my garage door- but doesn't it look cool?
Here's a quick video you can watch if you want help drawing a heart!
Do you remember how to cut out a heart? Fold the paper, draw half of a heart on the FOLD side, and then cut on your line?? Try your best!!
Do you want to try folding a heart? Try this origami tutorial! You can do it!!
Can't quite remember how to cut out a heart? Watch Mrs. Nielsen's first youtube video ever (yikes!) to see how it's done. (Don't worry, I'll get better :)
Need a brain break from all that homework? Take a few minutes to do a guided drawing with Muffalo Potato! All you need is a pencil, a piece of paper, and an internet connection. Everyone knows how funny John and his friend Muffalo are, and who knew you could draw so many things by just using numbers and letters! This is seriously fun for the whole family, adults included! If you like, bring your finished masterpieces to the art room for proper display when you're finished!
Here's another great site for you to explore...Art For Kids Hub! It features Rob, an artist, who spends time teaching his kids how to draw step-by-step. I love this site because there are so many choices, and their enthusiasm is infectious. Try it out and see for yourself!
(Thanks for the recommendation, Hjerpe family :)
