Hey Friends! I bet some of you dyed some Easter Eggs this past week... which makes me think of COLOR MIXING! Did any of you mix some colors on your eggs? Or if you didn't dye eggs, have you ever mixed colors at home in other ways? Ketchup + Mustard = what color? Or Milk + Chocolate Syrup = ??

Here's a pic of some colorful eggs my daughter and I made a couple of years ago. We used old neckties we cut up and wrapped around our eggs to create these cool patterns! So fun!!

Have you heard of "Hearts for Healthcare Workers"? People from all over are adding hearts to their windows, doors and driveways to spread some love and show support to all the healthcare workers who are working hard for us everyday and can't stay at home. These colorful hearts will also spread cheer to everyone walking or driving by! Look below for some examples ;)

Need a brain break from all that homework? Take a few minutes to do a guided drawing with Muffalo Potato! All you need is a pencil, a piece of paper, and an internet connection. Everyone knows how funny John and his friend Muffalo are, and who knew you could draw so many things by just using numbers and letters! This is seriously fun for the whole family, adults included! If you like, bring your finished masterpieces to the art room for proper display when you're finished!

Here's another great site for you to explore...Art For Kids Hub! It features Rob, an artist, who spends time teaching his kids how to draw step-by-step. I love this site because there are so many choices, and their enthusiasm is infectious. Try it out and see for yourself!

Many of our students who like to frequent the Winfield Public Library may already know Ms. Choate because she often does facepainting for special events there. Her YouTube channel has a bunch of things already uploaded that you can explore whenever you like!

The DuPage Art League, located in downtown Wheaton, is a non-for-profit art school and gallery. They offer lots of classes for kids, from ages 6-18. Go to their website for current info and class schedules.
