Hello Pleasant Hill fans, I'm Juliana Nielsen-- welcome to my website! I've taught elementary art in CUSD 200 for over 20 years. I also love to cook, bake, read, travel, and (of course) create art! I'm a Wheaton native, and proud graduate of Hawthorne, Franklin, and Wheaton North schools. I studied Art Education at Augustana College, and later earned my Master’s degree and Type 75 certification from Aurora University. My husband and I spent some time teaching abroad early our careers, both in Japan and Switzerland (some of you may know Dan Nielsen; he teaches English and coaches Track and XC at Franklin Middle School). Currently I'm busy living life on the south side of Wheaton with my husband, my two high-school teenagers, and our menagerie of pampered pets (dog, cat, bird, and bearded dragon). As always, I'm looking forward to another amazing school year in the art room.
