Currituck County is dedicated to inspiring young students to prepare for their future.   We offer Career and Technical Education Courses at both Currituck Middle and Moyock Middle schools.

Our Middle School Agriculture program provides 6th graders with an opportunity to explore Environmental and Natural Resources while our 7th and 8th graders explore Animal and Plant Science in addition to Exploring Food and Agricultural Products.  Students have an opportunity to participate in FFA.  Future Farmers of America.   All courses prepare them for success in our wonderful High School Agriculture Program. 



Under our business education courses, students in 6th grade begin by exploring career options and learning proper keyboarding techniques.  Students in 7th and 8th grade learn about Exploring Business and Entrepreneurship as well as Business procedures and Leadership. These business courses prepare students for success in all High School Business classes. Students have an opportunity to join FBLA.  


 

Computer Science Discoveries/Exploration and Expression - The first middle grades course  (Units 1, 2 and 3) of CS Discoveries introduces students to computer science as a vehicle for problem-solving, communication, and personal expression. As a whole, this course focuses on the visible aspects of computing and computer science and encourages students to see where computer science exists around them and how they can engage with it as a tool for exploration and expression.
