The objective of the session was to make attendees understand and unleash their creative potential by giving exemplary examples of Robert Frost and Peter Drucker
Much needed awareness was spread on Women Education Policy to create awareness and inspire young women to take up challenging jobs in every stream
Session II was conducted on 2/3/2021 by Mrs. Amalthi, Asst. Professor, Department of Chemistry, C.T.T.E college for women on the topic ‘Design thinking’
Design thinking is a human-centered approach to problem-solving. The initiative is to build a designed mindset that will help us solve complex problems
The core concepts of design thinking lie in desirability, viability, and Feasibility
The attendees were also exposed to connecting the dots activity
Session III was conducted on 3/3/2021 by Dr. K.Kavitha, Asst. Professor Department of Mathematics on the topic ‘ Introduction to Incubation and Incubators- From idea to reality ’
The attendees were able to learn about the origin, prototypes, use of Incubation
Attendees also got a glimpse of the incubation period of different business models
A brief context on different stages of Incubation of business models was also provided for a better understanding
Session IV was conducted on 4/3/2021 by Mrs. Mary Catherine, Asst. Professor, Department of Computer science on the topic 'Creative Common Licence -An Introduction
This session created awareness among students about various intellectual and
property rights
Key concepts such as Copyrights, trademarks, patents, and trade secrets were covered
Various case studies were presented on the same and the different types of patents
were explained
The session also focused on layers of license and its authenticity in the digital era
Session V was conducted on 8/3/2021 by Dr. Malarvizhi, Asst. Professor Commerce and EDC Governor on the topic A Step Ahead
The session curated the students as it displayed stories of three great Personality-Murugavel Janakiraman, Rajagopal, and C.K Ranganathan the respective founder of Bharat Matrimony, hotel Sarvana Bhavan and Cavin
Their rags from riches story had inspired many young attendees and they had learned how to ace against odds even if outcomes are not in your favor
Their story was covered into steps describing their challenges and the strategic techniques they undertook to complete it
Session VI was conducted on 9/3/2021 by Mrs. Ashwini U R, Asst. Professor, Department of Psychology
The speaker being a psychologist spoke about holding an idea and churning into an entrepreneurial mindset
The different stages of startup funding from ideation to IPO were explained
The attendees learned about various successful startups in India like Paytm, Zomato, Lenskart, etc
Different methods of branding the products via social media platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook were also explained
Session VII was conducted on 10/3/2021 by Dr. Sudha Srikanth, Placement Officer
The key areas that the speaker covered were the importance of digital marketing in this era
The benefits interns would be getting via LOR, incentives, and certificates were covered
The speaker proposed a raw idea of how growing out of comfort zones can open the gates of more opportunities

Purpose of the Event: To enhance students’ knowledge on SAP and also to create awareness on cleanliness and green planet along with Social and Rural Entrepreneurship.
Conduct of the Event: The Resource Person spoke in detail about Swatchhtha Action Plan and focused on important topics like Sanitation and Hygiene, Waste Management, Reusing and Recycling, Greenery, Social Entrepreneurship, Rural Entrepreneurship and Handicrafts.
Outcome of the Event: The participants gained a lot of knowledge and new information pertaining to environment and entrepreneurship through this Workshop. They were also benefited by learning a lot of techniques to preserve resources and energy while doing routine activities.
Number of Beneficiaries: Around 50 students participated in the session via Google Meet
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of our college organized “Student Food Stall” programme on 5th March 2021 inside the college campus. More than 38 Stalls in total were put up and the students sold food and costume jewellery & accessories. The duration was from 10 am to 2.30pm.

Purpose of the Event: To motivate and encourage the UG students towards understanding research and to enlighten them on ways to write an effective research article.
Conduct of the Event: The resource person provided a clear overview of research and step by step explanation with examples on how to write and publish a research article.
Outcome of the Event: The students actively participated and interacted with the resource person and cleared the doubts they had thereby understanding the basics of research and writing research paper.
Number of Beneficiaries : Around 100 students joined in Google Meet
Stubazaar members of ED Cell from the first year sold A4 papers, pens and pencils in the college campus to meet the exam requirements of II and III year students from 19th February 2021 to 26th February 2021, at affordable price. The objective behind making the students operate small retail outlets is to inculcate entrepreneurial and managerial skills while recognising the economic opportunity as well as the importance of being innovative and persistent.

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell organized a workshop on ‘Interior Wall Art’ on 23rd January 2021, from 4.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m via Google Meet. The resource person for the programme was Mrs.N.Shyamala Devi (M.Sc.Home Science and Head Tutor , Fevicryl). A total of 70 students participated in the session.
Mrs. Devi simplified the proces of interior wall art into simple steps and demonstrated how to proceed at each level of the art. Her approach proved to be higly engaging as the students remained curious throughout the session. The feedback forms were provided to the students at the end of the session. The session was thus highly interactive and informative, encouraging the students to attend the future workshops by ED Cell.
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Chevalier T Thomas Elizabeth College for Women organized an in- house webinar on the topic ‘Demystifying Entrepreneurship’ on 09th January, 2021 from 4.00p.m. to 5.30 p.m. via Google Meet. This webinar was specially organized for the I, II and the final year students of the CRISP classroom. The resource person for the session was Dr.P.Malarvizhi, Assistant Professor of Commerce and ED Cell Convenor ,C.T.T.E College for Women. 65 students participated in the program.
In the webinar, Ms. Malarvizhi traced the essential characteristics of entrepreneurship; from beginning to mastering the same. She also enlightened theaudience on the sense of entreprepenurship, classification of entrepreneurs conforming to their backdrops and environment, and presented a comparitive statement of income between entrepreneurs and other job doers.Furthermore, she stated the myths of entrepreneurship and shed light on the keys that could demystify them by quoting examples from many influential entrepreneurs.
At the end of the webinar, she further inspired the students by highlighting the entrepreneurship lessons from the Tamil film Soorarai Potru. The webinar proved to be a gripping and engaging session where the participants acknowledged its visionary and empirical nature.
A Webinar on ‘Fortune Favours the Bold and Brave’ was organized by CTTE Student Council in collaboration with Entrepreneurship Development Cell, on 20th February 2021 for the college students via Google Meet. The session was also streamed live on the official page of College on YouTube. The Resource Person of the session was Dr.S.Gayathry, Professor, Department of Management Studies, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. 90 students from the college participated in the session.
The webinar aimed at motivating the students to take up entrepreneurship and creating awareness about various types of fund procurement choices that can be availed by micro entrepreneurs, especially the student entrepreneurs. Dr. S Gayathry began the session by conducting a mini survey to gauge the entrepreneurial interest in participants, after which she highlighted the success stories of young Indian entrepreneurs. Additionally, she also informed the audience about the various financial sources available specifically for the student and women entrepreneurs. The students actively participated and clarified their doubts in the session.

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of our college organized a webinar on the topic ‘Innovation for Women in Business’ as an eye opener to excel in entrepreneurship and innovation on 30th November, 2020 from 1.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. via Google meet. The resource person of the programme was Ms.Surabhi Rao, Director and Product development Head, Narsipur Chemicals Pvt Ltd. More than 45 students attended the programme.
The resource person shared her personal experiences of overcoming the hurdles to become a successful entrepreneur and motivated the participants to look around them for viable business opportunities. In addition, she explained about the concepts of Lean Team, psychology of customers and how to procure proper information from the widely available sources for business operations. She also discussed about the convenience of customers, measuring the opportunities and about the innovation and creativity of these processes. At the end of the session, virtual feedback forms were provided to the audience.
This was followed by the awareness session on NISP (National Innovation and Start-up policy 2019 ) . The NISP nominee of the college, Dr. Mrs. P.Malarvizhi, began the session by briefing the participants on the highlights of NISP and later focused on the take-aways for stupreneurs. Ms. Malarvizhi further educated the students on effective engagement in innovation and startups during their campus life. The NISP power point presentation was shared and explained in the webinar.
After the informative session ,the presentation on the College policy, named CRISP (CTTE Regulatory Innovation and Startup Policy) followed. It was deliberated in the context of NISP. The activities planned for the students in the short and long runs were discussed and events in the pipeline were highlighted. The parallel between NISP and college policy was drawn, to further make clear to the students, the path that is proposed to be laid for them to explore and exploit the entrepreneurial opportunities around them. The ways in which students can make use of the entrepreneurial ecosystem that is being created in the college campus were also discussed as part of the presentation. The highly fruitful sessions thus ended successfully.
The Rural Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Chevalier T Thomas Elizabeth College for Women college in association with MGNCRE organized a workshop on the topic ‘Business Plan Development’ on 16th October, 2020 via Google Meet. The workshop had two sessions and the speakers were Dr.Umarani Purushottaman, Retired Professor who has published several research papers in both National and International level and Mrs.Mala Ramachandran, the cofounder of the digital solution company, Kaleidoscope, respectively Nearly 133 students from across disciplines participated in and benifitted from the event.
In the first session, Dr.Uma Purushotttaman enlightened the participants on structuring and configuring a business plan. She also sensitized the students about various schemes available for women who wantedto become entrepreneurs. At the end of the first session, participants from the department of Business Administration were asked to fill up a business plan format via Google forms and submit them to MGNCRE. The other participants submitted the sameto the college ED cell.
The second session of the workshop was taken over by Mrs.Mala Ramachandran who briefed about the various attributes and traits needed to build extraordinary leadership qualities and personality.. She also highlighted the needs and skills required among young entrepreneurs for various start-ups.. Mrs. Ramachandran also succintly answered the questions and clarified the doubts raised by the participants.. The event was also streamed live on YouTube from the official channel of the college. Virtual feedback forms were provided to the participants at the end of the sessions
The Entrepreneurship Development cell of Chevalier T Thomas Elizabeth College for Women organized an online workshop on ‘Liquid Embroidery’ on 11th September 2020 between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. via Google Meet. The resource person of the event was Mrs. N.Shyamala Devi, Fevicryl Specialist, Pidilite Industry. The workshop aimed at motivating the student community to indulge in useful co-curricular activities. 435 students from the college registered for the workshop out of which 180 students attended the same. During the workshop, Mrs. Devi demonstrated an inexpensive and simple way to make the fabric look radiant and ethnic and how the stitches sewn using the fevicryl tubes replicate the traditional look of embroidery. The workshop was also streamed live on YouTube which was viewed by many. The engaging session ended successfully and the students were given certificates of participation.
