In the time when face masks have become one of the compulsory accessories for all of us, the ED Cell of our College organized an online workshop - “Face Mask Making” on 14th of May 2020 between 3 pm and 4 pm. The resource person for this event was Mrs.N.Shyamala Devi, Fevicryl Specialist, Pidilite Industry. She demonstrated stitching a variety of face masks in different sizes, with materials easily available at home. She also taught the participants to add value to the masks by making artistic painting and embroidery on them.
Nearly 77 participants from the college and also from other colleges in the city participated and benefited from the workshop.

Dr. P.Malarvizhi, ED Cell Convenor completed training in Entrepreneurship Development Programme conducted as part of IIC Innovation Ambassador Training Series, organised by Institution’s Innovation Council of MHRD’s Innovation Cell, AICTE on 8th and 9th January 2020, held at RMK Engineering College.
Certificate courses were made optional this year with choice given over four courses, namely: Bakery products making, Fabric painting, Tailoring and Embroidery. As these are skill-building exercises, these courses were thrown open for all the students. The number of students who registered for various courses are: Bakery Products-54, Fabric painting-20, Tailoring-25, Embroidery-25.
A 3-Day SHG College Bazaar was organized from July 3 to 5, 2019, in association with 25 groups of SHG women , Tamilnadu Corporation for Development of Women Ltd.(TNCDW) in the College auditorium. Thiru. L.Palamalai, Managing Trustee and Correspondent of the CTT Educational Trust inaugurated the bazaar. Handicraft items, fashion jewellery, accessories and food items were exhibited and sold. The micro women entrepreneurs greatly benefited from the shopping made by CTTE students and faculty.
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell conducted a fresher’s Orientation Programme for the 2019-20 batch of students. Ms. Preethvi and Ms. Shivani of II B.Com were the resource persons.
The main aim of this programme was to create awareness among the freshers about the various kinds of activities that are being conducted by the cell. A Powerpoint presentation was made to highlight the significance of entrepreneurship in the career of the students.
Stubazaar, the campus retail store, run by the students, for the students, sells items like stationary, cosmetics, fancy accessories and jewelleries. This year, the operation of Stubazaar, was carried out by the stupreneurs of BBA and B.Com (CS).
