About us
CTS is a small company located in Friuli Venezia Giulia, in the North-East of Italy. Our team consists of less than 20 people, between offices and production. Thanks to our small size we can be highly flexible and ready for change.
The history of CTS begins with the foundation of the start up CTS S.r.l in 2008, which later became CTS S.p.A.
In 2018 it was acquired by Interspiro AB and became part of the Ocenco group, the world's leading manufacturer of respiratory devices and respiratory protective equipment.
What do we do
CTS develops and produces a completely innovative range of high-performance, ultralight cylinders for compressed gases. Leveraging its expertise, CTS has seized the opportunities that composite materials offer to create the lightest and safest pressure vessels ever.
The groundbreaking technology of CTS involves the production of "type 4" composite cylinders made from a composite material, carbon fiber, and resin, with an ultra-lightweight PET (polyethylene terephthalate) liner inside. Type 4 composite cylinders represent the latest evolution in cylinder construction, starting with "type 1" cylinders made from steel or aluminum alloy, progressing to type 2 and 3 with a metal structure and liner, and finally reaching "type 4."
In designing this new type of cylinders, CTS has prioritized the needs of end-users, providing them with comfortable equipment that boasts a high volume-to-weight ratio while ensuring maximum safety even in emergency situations and hazardous environments.
CTS is always focused on improvement, enabling us to introduce a high-quality product exceeding standards with a competitive price to the international market. This, coupled with the unlimited lifetime approval, makes our cylinders an economically efficient choice.

That's why we offer the option to customize cylinders with their own logos or choose the color of the polyolefinic coating, for example. Manufacturing flexibility, adherence to delivery times, product reliability, and pre and post-sales technical support are the basis for a strong relationship with our customers.
