Our product is a multi-use washable liner that fights bacteria and odors that have ruined sporting events and days at the gym for millions of people worldwide. The anti-microbial systems prevent contamination of bacteria to and from food, clothes, and anything else that can't be cleaned before exposure to your bag. This liner will reduce bacteria and odors from exiting the liner and keep anything contaminated separate from anything else you place in your bag. This way a trip to the gym can include bringing only one bag with your clean and dirty clothes, and afterwards you have the freedom to do whatever you choose with your bag.
How can bacteria on a gym bag harm you? Following a workout many gym bag owners don't think twice about what just happened in their gym bag. Say you go work out for an hour. During that hour, millions of bacteria multiply to create a bacteria war zone either from clothing or simple exposure to air with microbes floating around. The reality is your gym bag houses just as many germs as the items you place inside it. You can remove your shoes (ugh, the bottoms!) and sweaty clothes, but that doesn't mean they won't leave dirt and bacteria behind. According to Lisa Guerrero, a team of investigative journalists took 15 swabs of different gym bags and sent them to the labs for bacteria and fungi testing. One bag came back testing positive, with not one but two different types bacteria. The gym bag owner was left “queasy” after hearing that this gym bag carried both Staphylococcus Aureus or “Staph”, and Escherichia coli. And then you think about what happens after you remove those items. They go into your closet, get on your clean clothes, then on your body, and soon enough you've got gym bag bacteria crawling all over you. We researched 10 of the most common types of bacteria and found all are linked to either odor, sweat, or the human skin. Multiple can grow off of your skin, even if it is clean. And, for example, you go to the store and put produce in the bag that held your gym clothes without being washed afterwards. This is bad news for your body. Pneumonia, meningitis, arthritis, and more just from one contaminated fruit or vegetable.
This problem needs a solution, and fast. Some existing solutions are effective. Like washing your bag after every use, or taking multiple bags to events to thwart cross-contamination. But having your own bag is extremely helpful. Why have your hands full with multiple bags when you could just, simply put, have one. Effortlessly attach your liner to your bag, and go. Once you have your contaminated objects in the liner, its as simple as remove and throw in the wash, clothes and liner. The same bag the liner was just in can still be used for just about anything without the worry of contamination and smell. Our fabric has antimicrobial traits, odor reduction and elimination, wash ability, and durability. It can be soaked and crushed, beat up, get subjected to extreme odor, and get contaminated with bacteria but you still won't know from the outside it is anything but a clean liner. And unless you come in contacted with the inside of the liner, (which would be sealed once finished), you are safe from any invisible threats as well. Our testing as well as scientific research shows that bacteria cannot pass through the fabric. All in all this liner could significantly impact the sports and health market, leading to a safer life.
