The team consists of 4 Core Classroom educators and a Special Educator that serves all grade levels. We further divide the teacher team into a 5/6 side and a 7/8 side, which allows students to minimize the transitions from teacher to teacher and from classroom to classroom. In this structure, a Voyager student has the same two teachers for two years, encouraging deep and meaningful learning opportunities and relationships. As well, the teachers get to know each Voyager student's learning style, learning needs, and strengths as a leader.

Teachers have specialized in their content areas allowing them to deliver content specific expertise, while still seeing the value of integration across the content areas. The configuration is as follows: a 5/6 Math and Science teacher, a 5/6 Humanities teacher, a 7/8 Math and Science teacher, and a 7/8 Humanities teacher. Special integrated units of study are offered to all 5-8 students at key times during our 4 year cycle and provide an exciting opportunity to learn in a multiage environment.

We are lucky to have the coteaching model as part of the opportunities we offer students. Our special educator and math and reading interventionists are in many classes allowing for the kind of differentiation that moves all students forward.
