In accordance to the Policy Guidelines on Awards and Recognition for the K to 12 Basic Education Program (DepEd Order 36 s. 2016), these awards are designed to formally recognized the outstanding performance and achievement of learners in leadership and social responsibility. All learners who have met the standards, criteria, and guidelines shall be recognized. Starting on EOSY 2025-2026, two or more recipients are given. However, should there be qualified learner, awards shall not be given.
Formally established on EOSY 2025-2026, a separate and unified committee for leadership and club/organization achievement awards is formed under the supervision of the SSLG Adviser, Ma'am Mara Danica Ramos. In the prior years, the awards are given to a sole recipient, collectively agreed upon by the moving-up and graduating PRAISE committee, upon the endorsement and approval of the SSLG Adviser. This is to anticipate the volume of applicants and awardees, and accommodate the rigorous document review process. The Leadership PRAISE committee is comprised by four members, headed by the SSLG Adviser, with the assistance of the SHS Guidance Designate, and one faculty member from Junior and Senior High School each to ensure the validity and reliability of the results.
The leadership award is given to learners in grades 10 and 12 who have demonstrated exemplary skills in motivating others and organizing projects that have significantly contributed to the betterment of the school and/or community. This award is given during the completion or graduation ceremony. To qualify for this award, a learner must:

Have not committed any offense punishable by suspension or higher sanction according to the Department’s service manual and child protection policies in the current school year.
Be a class officer or an active member/officer of any recognized school club, team, or organization.
Candidates will be evaluated by five of their classmates and their class or club advisers, with the cross-examination of the MOVs by the Leadership PRAISE Committee. Only those learners who have met at least 90% of the criteria shall be awarded.
Students must submit a portolio containing their annotation form and recommendation letter from class/club adviser. Means of verification may be attached when necessary. Survey to their classmates will be given randomly by the PRAISE committee member. The accepted credentials will be from Grade 9 to 10 for moving-up students and Grade 11 to 12 for graduating students.
