Yearbook is a hands-on, project-based class where students work as a team to design, photograph, and publish the official Columbia High School yearbook. Students attend school events to capture photos, write captions and copy, sell advertisements and sponsorships, and meet multiple production deadlines throughout the year. Strong organization, creativity, collaboration, and responsibility are essential, as meeting deadlines directly impacts course grades. Yearbook students are expected to maintain good attendance and participate in a required two-day Yearbook Bootcamp in early August. This course is ideal for students interested in photography, design, writing, marketing, or working behind the scenes to preserve school memories.
