Students and parents/guardians will need to create an FSA ID first to access and complete the FAFSA. Students will "invite" their parents/guardians to complete their portion by entering the Parents (DOB, SSN, Email, Mobile Phone)

Graduating seniors are required to complete the FAFSA to enter any college/university nationwide, some trade schools & to apply for scholarships
FAFSA equates to FREE federal aid to attend college and/or a trade school that you do not payback
Parents & Students will need to create an FSA ID account first before completing the FAFSA - it is the only legal way to "sign" your online application. Your Security # is required

You will need your tax records for 2 years prior to the FAFSA you are completing (for instance - for HS Seniors graduating 2024 & filling out the 2024-25 FAFSA, you will need your 2022 tax forms)

Important Information Regarding the NEW FAFSA
Should I fill out a FAFSA? YES, if students would like to be considered for any federal aid (Pell Grant, FSEOG Grant, Direct loans, and Work-Study) or UM need-based aid, they must complete the FAFSA.
When Can I file my FAFSA? The 2024-2025 FAFSA release is delayed and will become available by December 31st 2023, as announced by the Department of Education.
What's an FSA ID? The FSA ID is a username and password combination used to log in to U.S. Department of Education (ED) online systems.
When should I create my FSA ID? At least 3 days before filing the FAFSA. Students and all contributors must register for an FSA ID.
PRO TIP: What’s a “Contributor”? Anyone providing information on a FAFSA including:
the student
the student's spouse (if married)
the biological or adoptive parent(s)
the spouse of a remarried parent who is on the FAFSA (stepparent)
