a. Author Brené Brown says people are afraid that if they let others see their dark emotions like fear, shame, grief, sadness, and disappointment they will end up alone. Brown warns, “If you numb grief, if you don’t admit to the dark emotions, you also numb joy.” Do you agree with this thought?
b. Our tendency is to hide or cover up our faults. Yet, James 5:16 says, “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” According to this verse, healing comes through confessing and praying for one another. Why do you think this is so?
