a. The ancient Greeks believed that creativity came from an outside spiritual influence, rather than within. Have you ever had an idea that seemed to come to you out of nowhere? Explain.
b. The Bible tells of individuals to whom God gave artistic abilities. Exodus 31:1-5 says, “See, I have chosen Bezalel... and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom...and with all kinds of skills—to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver, and bronze.” If creativity is a gift from God, how would that change a person’s attitude about the creative process and what was created?
4. Although the artist Arcimboldo is best known for his portraits of royalty using vegetables, fruits, and flowers, he was employed by the Habsburg emperors to design costumes and decorations for festivities. Draw an ordinary object using items from nature.
