Background—As we’ve seen, Jesus often referred to himself as the Son of Man. Stephen’s vision of Jesus (Son of Man) standing at the right hand of God would indicate a fulfillment of Jesus’ claim in Matthew 26 and would have further angered his enemies. This is the only reference of Jesus standing at the right hand of God rather than seated or sitting.
