Background: Ezekiel was a prophet (God’s mouthpiece) during a time when the people of Israel were exiled from their home. Through Ezekiel, God was proclaiming hope for the future. God’s glory would be restored as he returned them to their homelands AND he would restore Israel’s relationship with Him.
