Download the folder of pictures HERE
Open the file called underwater in Adobe Photoshop. (All files in this folder were downloaded from pixabay and therefore do not infringe on copyrights)
Unlock the background layer
Add all images of the underwater creatures to the file
Using free transform, adjust the size of the creatures to match the rest of the picture
Unlock the treasure chest layer
Adjust the order of the layers so that the rings show up in front of the treasure chest
Delete the photo of the kangaroo as this is an underwater themed picture
Move the turtle in front of the shark and change the opacity to match the shark behind it
Using the quick selection tool and the select and mask feature, remove the backgrounds of the animal pictures so that we have isolated the animals on those layers
Using the text tool, add your name to the bottom of the image
Upload both your .png and .psd files to your Unit 2 folder in Google Drive
BONUS: Try to place fish 3, BEHIND the underwater statue
Task 2.2
Now it is your time to apply what you have learned
Create a themed composition on Photoshop of your choice i.e. outer space, the jungle, a classroom
Your image must include
At least 6 images that all follow the same theme (You must isolate these images from their backgrounds using either select and mask or the paint brush)
 3 images must overlap to show your knowledge of layers
Opacity has been altered in one image
A title using the text feature
Task 2.2 Success Criteria
I have at least 8 images in my composition
All 8 images follow the same theme
All 8 images are proportionate to the other images
I have effectively removed the background of the original images
3 of those images overlap
I have included a title using the text feature
I have saved the file as a psd. file and shared it with my teacher
Upload both your .png and .psd files to your Unit 2 folder in Google Drive
