Are you interested in creating a video to highlight a specific skill or share information?
We have created our own CERT YouTube channel and would like to share YOUR knowledge with other volunteers. Professional expertise is not necessary; use your cell phone or ask someone else to film you. Have fun with it!
Keep in mind:
What is the purpose of your video?
This is an opportunity to teach something to other volunteers. Try not to lecture.
Create an outline of what you want to say and practice it several times. You will become more comfortable with what you are doing -- preparation shows in the final product.
A few PowerPoint slides used as an illustration are okay, but a live demonstration is much more interesting.
"Proof read" you video by asking someone else to watch it. Do they understand your purpose?
Please keep it within two to five minutes in length.
That's all you need to do! We have volunteers who have kindly offered to help with any of your editing needs, and they will take care of uploading your video onto our YourTube channel.
