Our Team

Chicopee EdTech is a facilitator of educational technology integration within Chicopee Public Schools. Our work extends beyond hardware to the practical use of technology in both classrooms and offices. Housed within the Department of Curriculum & Instruction, we provide unique insights and support, helping all staff — teachers, administrators, clerks, counselors, and others — enhance their work through technology. From hands-on training and providing resources on various EdTech tools to making critical decisions about tool adoption and retirement, our mission is to make technology accessible and effective. Our philosophy is to "make things make sense," simplifying the complex world of EdTech for the benefit of our school community.

As Director of Instructional Technology, Nick Duell leads Chicopee EdTech, infusing technology into Chicopee Public Schools. His background as a chemistry teacher and high school assistant principal influences his work. Nick's YouTube channel as a teacher has earned more than 1.5 million views, and as an administrator, he integrated technology into school operations. Nick's philosophy, "Make it make sense," drives his current main project: implementing Droplet to digitize and streamline school workflows. Holding degrees from SUNY Geneseo and American International College (AIC), Nick loves being in classrooms.  Off-duty, he's a fan of Starbucks, the Buffalo Bills, Wegmans, and The Office.

If something techy is on your mind, connect with Nick about it today!
