Physics Final Project

Goal of the Assignment: To apply a Physics unit to a real-world application and then present it to the class.

• I chose to apply our 2D Kinematics unit to the design and building of a mountain bike ramp

How it Fits the Learning Target: 

• Required me to use essential physics knowledge 

  • Had to a apply one of the units which we covered in class

• Critical, Creative, and Adaptive Thinking

  • Required a strong knowledge of the course material as well as outside research

  • Required the use of creativity in the design of the ramp to make it structurally sound

• Real-World Application

  • The physics knowledge was required to design the ramp which would allow me to hit my height and distance goal
