2023 Resources

Varsity Band Music

Get ahead of the game and learn the pep band & marching band tunes that are in regular rotation at all of our games!

Drumline Repertoire

Samba Drumming

All Varsity Band Students come together to create our very own large samba bateria (drumming group) that regularly meets once a week from December until May.

Additionally, the "World Drumming" class will be learning this similar repertoire.

"Samba is participatory music. The music is structured to be inclusive.  Ensemble sizes are flexible (from 3 players to 300!) and players of various skill levels can play together in the same bands.  Samba is perfect for schools with large class sizes.  Samba has multiple entry points, is rigorous, develops a high level of rhythmic sensitivity, and is a great deal of fun." - Dana Monteiro

Private Lessons

Private lessons are the best way to ensure that you are continuing to grow on your instrument this summer! All of the teachers listed below are fully equipped and ready to teach remote lessons. We highly suggest that all of our band students enroll in private lessons for the summer.

*Please note, although the musicians on the list have gone through an informal screening process, they are not officially affiliated with Lane Tech or with CPS. This list has been complied to provide families with more options*
