Jones Choir

Under the direction of Katie Colby, Jones Choir is dedicated to the idea that everyone can sing.  There are three levels of choir courses offered during the school day at Jones, each increasing in difficulty.  Through vocal literature, students will learn to read, write, and respond to music.  Students will learn in depth vocal anatomy and technique that can be applied to any genre of music. All students perform in a minimum of two live choral concerts, one each semester.  In school year 22-23 we added two performances called "The Solo Series," where students select a song to perform alone or with a small group.  Jones Choir performs a wide variety of repertoire ranging from traditional choral music and world language pieces to pop songs and Broadway selections.  All music is worth studying! Browse our recent concert programs to see examples of the music we perform.
