Should teens that have committed murder be given an adult sentencing ?
Us as people have the opportunity to grow up from our mistakes and be able to have knowledge from the good and bad so if at a young age we have the mindset of wanting to harm someone imagine how big the possibilities for that person will become once they're grown and are capable of doing so.
Below im going to show you some reasons why teens should be treated equal and why they should go to prison

100% of the student in this class agreed that teens that commit murder should go to prison.
Describe the findings of your survey.
25 students took the survey and they agreed with me that teens that committed murder should definitely be sent to prison they should definitely get an adult consequences for comitting a crime, this survey influnced me by wanted to learn more about what was going on in that person mind to be capable of commit a crime. I think that if they are grown enough to commit those awful crimes they they are grown enough to accept the adult cpnsequences.
Interview Summary
A parent was interviewed based on the topic that if should teens that committed murder be given an adult sentense. Based on the question asked, the parent agreed that teens that committed murded should go to prison she belived that if the person had the mindset to committed such an horrible as murder they shouold also have the mindset to take responsability of taking the life of an inoccent person.
Your Personal Opinion
In my opinion, i do agree with the survey and the asnwer that the parent give me when i interviwed her. I agree with her that the state should give teens the punishment that they deserve, because its not fair that just because theyre minors would get away with murded or another type of crime. A lot of inoccent life are being taken, they are taken by teenagers in brutal ways. Those teens that committed crime need to be given adult consequences for taking another persons lifes, & i believe that they should be punished regardless of their age since they had the courage to take someone else life.
A sad reality that we faced today, teenagers going to prision for killing another teenager, a lot of people belive that those teens that commit murder should definitely spend their entire life in prison because they need to face adult consequences for their adult actions so it’ll be less likely to not repeat these horrible crimes.. But in the other side some people think that those teenagers brains havent developed, and that they may not know what their doing.
Teenager who have commit a murder should be given an adult sentence because most of the time they feel no remorse for the crime they committed. Teenagers should also get adult sentences if they committed a murder because they execute this horrible crimes and premeditate them. Sheila Eddy and Rachel Shoaf were two teen girls who planned their best friends murder. An article described, “Then they pounced and started attacking her. Shoaf said that at one point during the attack, Neese got away but they stabbed her in the knee so she could not run very far again. Neese’s fate was sealed (DeLong).” This piece further solidifies the argument how not only did they brutally attack her but the author also mentions how they premeditated it a month in advance. They had no remorse or second thoughts about killing her best friend for simply not liking her. In the previous article about Aidden Fucci it was also mentioned how, “Aiden Fucci, 14, is now facing a first-degree murder charge and will appear in court on Thursday after 13-year-old Tristyn Bailey was found dead with 114 stab wounds in May (Fruen).” This connects to the argument because Aidden Fucci stabbed Tristyn Bailey 114 times among other heinous actions. The article also mentions how he had planned this and made a drawing of a womens body with X marks on it. These people deserved to get an adult sentence for these actions. This shows that they have very corrupt minds and are very dangerous. Actions like these could not be looked past.
In conclusion, teenagers should be given adult sentences for committing murder because they should be facing adult consequences for their horrible actions. They need to be tried as an adult because they feel no remorse after they commit these crimes, they can do it again or have plans on doing it again, and they have committed a horrible crime that has taken someone’s life. They should not be seen as kids, they should instead be seen as the heinous crimes they’ve committed. They deserve no mercy since they did not show any to their victims. In the future teens shouldn't be able to be let go easily just because of their age. They should be tried as adults regardless.
