Are video games bad for your health? 9/10 of children today play video games. That is a lot of US children that are playing video games most of the day. How are video games shaping their brains? 100% of curie high school students said that video games were beneficial for students' mental health and mindset. Although video games can be as addicting as crack, cocaine, nevertheless, video games are beneficial for children's mental health because they relieve stress and increase problem solving skills.

Survey of 25 people

I conducted a survey of 25 people and the opinion of my peers was they all say yes that video games actually are truly beneficial to kids and teens mentality/ mindset. Some of the reasons were It teaches a lot of survival skills. It helps them think faster and multitask and it can help in many other ways. All the students were qualified to this survey because they like and play video games. One person was influential since he likes to do other things like exercise so there was a percentage of 99% that said yes and 1% said no since they like doing other things rather than video games.

Interview Summary

The purpose of the interview was to hear the opinion of the person about video games and how it's good or bad I interview Jesus Romero he's Mexican-American that used to live in California hes 16 years old male, he likes video games, and is a student. His attitude is he's really happy and he plays video games everyday. He has fun and helps him mentally. It's a way to socialize with other people. Some important questions where What do you learn from video games? and he said "It depends some can be a life lesson because of their story from that character and how you can connect to that character." Another questions was How many hours you play video games? he said "2 or 3 hours". I learned from this interview that all teens think different about video games and it can be a good thing and can help in many ways and you can see what different games teens play.

Your Personal Opinion

In my opinion I think video games are good for you and for mental health because it can help in providing learning, health and social benefits it can help in school by developing problem solving skills and having good grades, it can also relieve stress or if your having a bad it can help relax you and don't have also you get to play with your friends which it can be fun. It also can strengthen a range of cognitive skills which help you in life and in the future.

The negative side of video games

In conclusion, video games can be really good for people's mindset and it can help in many ways in our daily life. Some ways it can help is by helping children's mental health and can strengthen a range of cognitive skills, may boost children’s learning, health and social skills, it can help develop problem-solving skills, especially role-playing games, the more they improved in problem solving and school grades, and most importantly they can develop approaches to mental health care that integrate video game playing with traditional therapy. This tells me that videogames are important in our daily life and can help in many ways and be helpful and a good change for the future and for the rest of our lives.
