BAC

About

Drummond' Bilingual Advisory Committee (BAC) empowers parents of English Learners (ELs) to participate in their child's education and advocate for the academic, social, and cultural development of all ELs.

BAC meetings address issues relating to the education of English Learners (ELs) in our Transitional Program of Instruction; provide information about CPS services, programs, and resources for students and families; and train parents to effectively participate in the overall governance of bilingual education.

Drummond's BAC meets at the school at least five times a year and includes parent training and workshops. Five officers are elected annually and report to the Local School Council. The BAC Handbook provides detailed information about how BACs are organized and function and are offered in multiple languages.
