In this step we will be wiring the 4 motors that were added during the build step.
Controller Hub (Motor Ports) -> Motor
0 -> frontLeft
1 -> frontRight
2 -> backLeft
3 -> backRight
Expansion Hub (Motor Ports) -> Motor
0 -> intake
0 encoder -> Intake Motor
1 -> launcher
1 encoder -> launcher
Expansion Hub (Servo Ports) -> Servo
0 -> leftIntakeServo
1 -> Right Intake servo
Connect the control hub to a laptop/desktop that has the REV Hardware Client app using the usb c cable
Open the REV Hardware Client
Go to "Program and Manage"
Grab network name and password
(Optional) Go to "Manage"
Choose your own network name and save
Connect the driver station to the controller hub network
Open the FTC driver station app on the driver hub. It should say “Robot Connected”
Next press the three dots located on the top right of the screen to open the options menu: (picture 1)
Press "Configure Robot": (picture 2)
Press "New" -> "Control Hub Portal" -> "Control Hub" -> "Motors"
For port 0 press “Nothing.” A dropdown menu will appear showing options for what motor should be selected. Choose “GoBILDA 5202/3/4 series” Under the dropdown box, there will be a field to name the motor. Press the field and type the name for the motor, "left_front_drive” (don't type the quotation marks!)
Repeat step 5 for ports 1, 2, and 3
Do step 5, where you configured port 0, again for ports 1, 2, and 3. Below is a table that shows what each motor should be named (shown in the text that looks like this), followed by the type of motor that the port should be configured to (shown in the orange text.
Port0 -> left_front_drive -> “GoBILDA 5202/3/4 series”
Port1 -> right_front_drive-> “GoBILDA 5202/3/4 series”
Port2 -> left_back_drive -> “GoBILDA 5202/3/4 series”
Port3 -> right_back_drive -> “GoBILDA 5202/3/4 series”
Next, press "Done" to exit the Motor Configuration screen. Select "Done" again to exit the Control Hub screen.
Next, press "Expansion Hub" to enter the expansion hub page, select "Motors," and configure the motors (in the same process as steps 5 and 6!) as follows:
Port0 -> intake-> “GoBILDA 5202/3/4 series”
Port1 -> launcher -> “GoBILDA 5202/3/4 series”
Now, press "Done" to exit the Motors Configuration screen, and select the "Servos" button. This will open the Expansion Hub Servo Configuration screen.
Now, set the Servos on the expansion hub (again, in a similar process as steps 5 and 6, except this time instead of selecting the GoBILDA motor, you will select “continuous rotation servo") as follows:
Servo0 -> left_intake_servo -> “continuous rotation servo"
Servo1 -> right_intake_servo -> “continuous rotation servo"
Servo2 -> windmillServo -> “continuous rotation servo"
Press "Done", then "Done", then "Done" one more time, until you get to the screen that has the "Save" button on the top left. Press "Save." A prompt will open asking you to "Please enter a name for the robot configuration." Name the config file "drive."
Activate the newly made "drive" config file by pressing "Activate" under the "drive" text.
