Animal Life Cycles: Eggs, Ephyra and Embryos!
Date: December 9, 2021 | Time: 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. | Location: Virtual, Zoom | Grades: K-5 | 1.5 ISBE clock hours available
At Shedd Aquarium some animals hatch from eggs, are born live, or bud from polyps! At Shedd, we observe animals progress through important milestones and stages as they grow and develop. In this virtual workshop designed for elementary teachers, participants will explore multiple animal life cycles including marine mammals, birds, and invertebrates. Learn from educators and Shedd animal care experts while observing their behaviors live. Teachers will leave with hands-on, standards-aligned activities modeling these distinct life cycles to share and expand in their classrooms.
