About Our District:
The Corning-Painted Post Area School District is located in picturesque Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. We are located in a community of about 20,000 people; our schools service approximately 5000 students. Our secondary schools have been IB World Schools since 2005.
Our schools feature the Middle Years Programme (MYP), a whole-school program encompassing every student in grades 6-10, and the Diploma Programme (DP) for students in 11th and 12th grade. For more programme information, please visit the appropriate Programme Pages.
The International Baccalaureate Organization:
The International Baccalaureate® (IB) is a not-for-profit organization with a student-focus. CPP made the transition to IB World School with the intent of offering students a stronger preparation for university and for the workforce. In our District we offer students IB instruction from ages 11-19. For more information about the IB organization, please visit the International Baccalaureate website.
