When researching for your IB papers, you will need to focus on academic sources, do not just Google your topic and use websites.  Your sources for IA's and the EE should be journal articles, books, etc.  So... where do you find those?

• Utilize our Database Subscriptions

  • • Search the databases available to you through our school library.

    • Password list is available on the Research and Databases page--(password hint--our mascot plural)   

    • Be sure to save the articles you find in your Google Drive account (not the links to the articles) 

• Search the Destiny Discover Catalog 

  • • If you find a book you would like to check out, write down the title of the book and the call number.  If you need help finding the book when you come in the library stop at the circulation desk for help.

    • If you do not find a book that will work for your research project you can request a specific book or request that we find one for your research question.  Fill out the Book Request Form if you need a book that is not in our library.

• Search Google Scholar

  • • Results in Google Scholar will be mostly books and journal articles.  You may be able to access the books through Google Books but if you would rather have a print copy of the book please complete this form to request a book be purchased or borrowed for you.

    • You will not be able to access some of the full articles, you may only be able to see the abstract.  If you would like for us to get the full article for you, please fill out the Article Request Form and we will send you the article by email or share it through Google Docs to you.
