Library Policies and Procedures

Welcome to the Library!

Our goal is to make our library a warm and inviting space that all students can enjoy. Please take a look at the following library policies & procedures, and student expectations. Please help us to make the library a place everyone can feel comfortable and participate in the wonderful things our library has to offer.

How do students come to the Library?

Students can come to the library during study hall periods by signing out with their study hall teacher. There is a limit to the number of students who can come from each study hall. Students are expected to maintain passing grades to sign out of study hall and come to the library. At the end of each Marking Period grades will be checked and students who are failing 2 or more classes will not be allowed to sign out of the library to come to the library (we encourage students to visit the Learning Lab for additional help. At the 5 Week Report students can become eligible for the library if they are in good academic standing at that point (we do not pe

W are also open daily after school for Studio 315. Any CPPHS Students can attend Studio 315 (regardless of your eligibility to come in during the school day).

Library Expectations

Sign in When you Arrive

Please enter the library on the Guidance Commons side . You must sign yourself in on one of the computers as you enter.

Have a "Pass"

You must have a pass from study hall. This will be submitted electronically by your study hall teacher if you go to study hall and sign out properly.

Stay Until the End of the Period

When you come to the library, you must stay all period. Even if you have Open Campus.

Please Leave Things Where We Have Them

Please do not move the furniture. A lot of thought has gone into placing furniture where it works for flow of the space and safety (maintaining walkways).

If you need to leave, ask permission and sign out. You sign out on the computers that you used to sign in. A library staff member will

Stay seated until the bell rings. Please do not line up, please stay where you are seated until the bell rings

Talking is allowed, but please use a quiet voice and behave in a manner that is not distracting to others.

Clean up after yourself!

Please make sure that when you leave you clean up where you were sitting and leave it the way you found it.
