At the end of the identification windows, students may be referred to the Community Charter School Council for Gifted Education. Students who qualify for the AIG program will be identified through these pathways.
Pathway 1 (IG):
90%ile on standardized measure of aptitude or scoring in the 8th or 9th stanine on the OLSAT8 in any of the following areas: Verbal/Nonverbal/Combined
Pathway 2 (AR, AM, AG): 3 out of 6
Aptitude 90-99%ile on standard measure of aptitude or scoring in the 8th or 9th stanine on the OLSAT8
Achievement: 90-99% on standardized measure of achievement based on local norms (EOG/EOC/ACT/PreACT/Check In/etc.) OR level 5 on EOG/EOC
Performance: A average in areas of referral (10-point scale)
Portfolio of student work and anecdotal records, including samples from Talent Development services is applicable, showing the student is consistently working 1 or more grade levels above their own with a rubric score of 15-20.
Scales for Identifying Gifted Students (SIGS) rating of 119-147 TABs rating of 35 or more
Pathway 3 (AI):
Aptitude 90-99%ile on standard measure of aptitude or scoring in the 8th or 9th stanine on the OLSAT8
AND 2 of the following 5
Achievement: 90-99% on standardized measure of achievement based on local norms (EOG/EOC/ACT/PreACT/Check In/etc.) OR level 5 on EOG/EOC
Performance: A average in areas of referral (10-point scale)
