CPA have a long history of designing and refining services to ensure more innovative service provision and better, more effective patient care. 

We are experts particularly in Urgent Care Services, mobilising innovative services with the right skill mix, utilising the right clinical and community pathways to ensure more patients are treated in the community and fewer transported to secondary care. 

Services we have designed and delivered: 

• Doncaster Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP) Service: In 2009 the management team of CPA designed and mobilised the first service of its kind in the UK. This urgent community service utilised the skills of the ECP against robust community pathways to reduce secondary care activity by up to 90%. This service was attributed with annual savings of £1 million to the local health economy. 

• West Leicestershire Acute Visiting Service: in 2013 the management team of CPA designed and mobilised the first urgent visiting service in the Leicestershire region. We used all our previous experience to being our innovative model into this busy semi rural region. The service was so successful that Leicester City CCG adopted the model which became the: 

• Leicester City Clinical Response Team: by 2014 the busy Leicester City area had seen its neighbour deliver excellent outcomes and so adopted the scheme. The pilot was so overwhelmingly successful that in 2017 it became an integral part of the re-commissioning of the entire regions urgent care provision. 

• Leicestershire Home Visiting Services: CPA assisted the new provider of the integrated urgent care services in Leicestershire to bid, mobilise and deliver the Home Visiting Service. The service was successfully mobilised on time and with great success. 

• South Tees Care Home Education and Support Service: In 2016 CPA were approached by the Elm Alliance, a GP federation in the north east. The federation had received funding to provide a practitioner service into care homes but asked CPA to assist in desgning, recruiting and mobilsing. CPA acheived this successfully and the service has just received a further extension from the CCG.
