Hello! I am Senja Stephens. I am the K-5 Music Specialist at Cozad Elementary. I received my Bachelors Degree in 1992, and my Masters Degree in 2002 in Music Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. I am in my 27th year of teaching music. I taught my first 6 years in Genoa, Nebraska and my last 20 years were spent teaching K-12 music in Arapahoe, Nebraska. In my years of teaching, I have been a very active ajudicator and choir clinician across the state. I am also very involved in musical theater and am an active performer with Crane River Theater Company in Kearney, Nebraska. After moving to Cozad a year ago, my husband, Kip and I bought a small farm east of Cozad and reside there with our dogs, Gus and Harper. We have two daughters, Halle, which teaches music in Woodland Park, Colorado, and Gabrielle, which is an assistant breeding manager at Silver Spurs Horse Breeding in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I have always had a passion for music and children and I am inspired every day by my students.
