Second Grade Music Focus 2020-21: In Second Grade Music, my goal is to teach concepts through movement, listening, creating, and exploring. Our focus this year will be on social and emotional learning as well as finding steady beat, recognizing strong and weak beats, identifying meters (2,3,4), sing, play and move to rhythm, singing partner songs, melodic direction, the Baroque Period and instruments, writing notes and rests, explore dynamics, instruments of the orchestra, composing rhythm, melody and lyrics, listen and understand AB form.
