Launched in 2023, The Door Project is a unique and collaborative tradition led by our Honors Art students. Each spring during the 4th quarter, students are paired with teachers —starting with the 4th floor and moving downward each year—to transform their classroom doors into vibrant works of art.
This project is more than just decoration. It’s a creative partnership between student artists and educators, as students meet with their assigned teachers to learn about the subjects they teach. From there, they design and paint doors that visually represent each teacher’s curriculum, bringing academic content to life through color, symbolism, and imagination.
By combining artistic expression with educational themes, The Door Project celebrates both the power of learning and the talents of our young artists. With each passing year and each painted door, our school becomes more visually rich—and more connected through creativity.
