NC State Design Camp is a pre-college summer program for middle school and high school students organized by the NC State Design Lab for K12 Education and Outreach. Held each summer, Design Camp informs students about the study of design and raises awareness of the impact of design on all aspects of our everyday lives. The design thinking skills and creative experience gained can empower students on their path toward becoming innovative problem solvers and prepare them to tackle the challenges of the future.
SCAD Summer Seminars offers workshops for current freshmen, sophomore, and juniors in high school for the 2022–23 school year. Participants gain valuable educational experience while developing their creative vision through intriguing art and design assignments and projects.
The UNCG Summer Arts and Design Intensive program, the advanced and compelling School of Art’s summer visual art program. This program offers a one-week-long residential art program, serving up to 100 student artists. The studio program will include drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography, graphic design, and animation.
In the UNCSA Visual Arts Summer Intensive, you will find a demanding and stimulating program designed to unlock your artistic talent and hone your skills in the visual arts. During classes in drawing and design, you’ll explore the philosophical as well as the mechanical aspects of the art experience. You’ll dive into historical art concepts and practices and contemporary imagery through slide shows, lectures, and library assignments. You’ll participate in classroom critiques throughout the four-week session, and in a virtual gallery exhibition for families and friends as a grand finale.
