I believe knowledge is such a powerful thing and it has been such an immense part of my life but if you would have told me when I was younger that I loved learning new and critical information, I would have laughed at you. Pictured above is my friend and I at the 2019 Food, Nutrition and Conference Expo. My experience there broadened my interest in learning more than ever before about topics in the field of nutrition.
While at FNCE, my undergraduate group and I were able to travel around the city of Philadelphia. Exploring such a historical city was truly incredible, especially because of my interest in history. It was my favorite class growing up because there have been so many incredible people, interesting places, and significant events throughout history. I also believe that understanding the past is a critical part in helping shape the future.
Growing up in a small town I have developed an interest in adventure. I want to go to all the different places I have read about, see the amazing views at the top of mountains, go cave diving, and swim in all the oceans. I have many aspirations and I plan to do as many in my lifetime as possible. In 2019 I was able to travel to North Carolina to visit friends and go hiking in the mountains. Above is a photo from our hike to Grandfather Mountain.
One adventure I have experienced already is a two week trip to California with my friend Jill, who is pictured in the middle with me.
