Castle Stories Fairytale

It is funny, there is a fun twist, and it has animals.
This is the story of a king and queen who desperately wanted a child and got what they wished for and more from their fairy godmother! This is what happens when you are not precise in your wishes and tell the grantor of your wishes that "any kid will do." It does have a happy ending!
I found this book by chance and have never heard of it before, but I am definitely putting this one in my classroom! I love the king and queen's attitude to their shortcomings, and how they turned it into a positive. I also love that they don't just take the goat, but allow the goat's parents to come visit. This book can be used to teach acceptance, even if it's not the outcome you wished for.
