What We're Learning

School attendance to your child's overall academic success! Please send your child to school every day unless they are sick. We also encourage any doctor/dentist visit to be scheduled after school when possible. Thank you for your support!

Reading

This month the students will be learning how to research. Not only will they be researching, they will also learn from their research by reading and taking notes in order to hold on to their learning. They will also read to teach others what they have learned.

Writing

In this unit, students will be writing and becoming experts on a subject they are researching. They will focus on writing with volume and stamina.

Math

This month we will be reviewing multiplication and division strategies of counting and separating equal groups. We will also review counting a collection of coins and finish up by discussing earning, spending and saving in financial literacy.

Science

We will be learning about the food chain within an ecosystem.

Social Studies

We will learn about producers and consumers and economic choices. We will also learn about how to earn money, spend and save within a budget. We will also learn about the importance of Memorial Day and Independence Day.
