Conestoga's curriculum cycle ensures that program resources are up to date and aligned to Nebraska standards. This process helps to identify areas that need supplemented materials and areas that need to be updated.
Conestoga aligns all programs to the Nebraska State Standards. The process of implementing a common scope and sequence outline for all Core subjects began in 2020-2021 and is still in the developing stage. This process is being continue with the support of our ESU and the CLSD grant.
Conestoga hires high quality teachers that work hard to meet the needs of all learners. We average 58 teachers with an average of 14 years experience per teacher.
Of these teachers, 67% have a master's degree.
Conestoga utilizes two full time instructional coaches whose focus is to support all new staff up through their third year in our district. In addition to this critical piece of new teacher training, our coaches support all staff in growth their teacher toolboxes through routine coaching sessions (mini PD's), 4-6 week coaching cycles, MTSS components, and supporting the assessment process from administration to data based instructional practices. We view our coaches as the bridge between administration and teachers that help us reach common district goals grounded in Conestoga's adopted Marzano Focused Model of Instruction.
Conestoga utilizes the Marzano Focused Teacher Evaluation model for our instructional practices framework. This system supports all professional development, evaluations, and TEAMing time.
The SAP teams meets weekly to support teachers who have academic and/or behavioral concerns. The SAP process is teacher or parent initiated and is documented in both written and digital format. Team members are: building principal, guidance counselor, special education teacher, title teacher, instructional coach, school psych, and student directors. Classroom teachers are present as needed.
The Jr/Sr High Problem Solving team meets weekly to support teachers and students in the classroom. The process is initiated via an electronic student referral form and documented throughout the problem solving process. Team members consist of: Instructional Coach, members of the MTSS team, school counselor and the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment.
Conestoga Elementary meets the Nebraska Reading Act by creating, sharing, and implementing IRIP's for all K-3 students who qualify based on benchmark data from AIMS Web Plus and NSCAS Growth. Progress is monitored by the Title teacher and the data team member every 4 weeks to determine if changes are necessary. Each student is re-evaluated each benchmark period. This extends to our 4th-6th grade as well.

TeamMates Mentoring Program is available for third through twelfth grade students . Students who are graduating are in the program for at least 3 years, they are eligible for TeamMate scholarships. additionally, these students can be eligible for TeamMate Plus, they can have their mentor through college.
Conestoga school district offers a variety of supports for students birth to 21. Our Director of Student Services is Mr. Nick Krause.
During the 2021-2022 school year, Conestoga began receiving Mental Health services, through an ESU 3 grant, for identified students utilizing teacher input and SAEBRS data. With parent permission, eligible students are able to meet with the LMHP weekly or bi-weekly. This position was able to transition to a full time position, dedicated to Conestoga Public schools during the 2025-2026 school year.
