The teams below assist Conestoga Public Schools in ensuring all components of the Governance and Leadership tenet are met.
The leaders provide stakeholders meaningful roles in the decision-making process that promote a culture of participation, responsibility, and ownership that facilitates exemplary performance from all staff and students.
The school district has leaders who are advocates for the school district’s vision and improvement efforts.
The leaders provide direction, lend support, and systematically allocate resources for systemic and sustainable implementation of curricular and co-curricular programs that enable students to achieve expectations for their learning.
Leaders ensure collaboration and shared responsibility for school district improvement among stakeholders with clearly defined expectations for each stakeholder group.
The school district’s policies, procedures, and organizational conditions ensure equity of learning opportunities and support for innovation and are deeply embedded in the way the school district functions.
Conestoga Public Schools has established building-level School Improvement Teams (SIP Teams) at both the Elementary and Jr/Sr High to drive the district's Continuous Improvement Process (CIP). These teams are explicitly structured to support the overarching district goal: to fully implement a cohesive district MTSS system in reading, math, and SEL by the end of the 2026-2027 school year. For example, the Elementary building has specific teams for Math, Reading, and SEL, while the Jr/Sr High has consolidated teams like MTSS Academic and Behavior/Student Recognition. Each SIP team is dedicated to supporting a component of the CIP goal, working to increase state benchmark scores through the implementation of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), prioritize standards in all courses, and vertically align priority standards across grade levels. This ensures all systems are aligned and working together to enhance core practices for student and staff growth.
The Conestoga School Board meets on the second Tuesday of every month. These meetings are held at Conestoga Jr/Sr High Building at 5:00pm. Information on policies and meetings can be found via the Board of Education page at: https://www.conestogacougars.org/Page/1
