Cecily Monahan
Cecily explored primary and secondary imagination through a set of three visual poems.
"The first poem, written in the third person perspective, symbolizes God and the primordial imagination. The second, also written in the third person perspective, portrays the primary imagination from the perspective of Adam. The final poem, the only one written in the first person, is spoken by Eve, representing the secondary imagination."
Gitanjali painted one line of her poem onto a shard of Isaac's vase, "Through fractured space and time." Margaret then incorporated this into her project, “Mounting Antiquity.”
Linking each project to the next in this way reveals the infinite creativity of the mind, just as Alex did through transliteration.
