SHILOH STARNES

My name is Mrs. Starnes and I will be teaching Chemistry this year! I have taught chemistry for 8 of the 9 years I have taught! As many of you know, I taught biology last year and this year I will be moving up with the students and I am so excited to have them again as we continue to learn more about Science! I hold a masters in chemistry and prior to becoming a teacher I worked as a quality control chemist at a chemical production company. I'm so excited to share my expertise with the students and my love of chemistry!! Outside of school, I am a mother of 4 including two recent university grads as of Summer 2021! My two younger daughters live for dance and therefore I serve them as a dance mom most nights and could not be more proud of them. As a family we love to go camping, hiking, kayaking, and spending our time outdoors. I am from Alaska and most of my family remains there, so we visit as often as we can and cannot wait for the Canadian border to open again so we can drive back home across the countries! I am looking forward to a great year and cannot wait for school to start!
