Fany Loftin is the Spanish Teacher at CHS. Before teaching in Commerce she was a Public Accountant in her native Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She moved to Texas with her husband in 1993 and she enrolled in Paris Junior College. While studying on PJC, she rediscovered her love for teaching. She joined the CISD team in 2003 right after graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Arts from Texas A & M, and later she obtained her Master Degree in Spanish. This is her sixteenth year in Commerce. She currently teaches Spanish 1 and Spanish 2; and sponsors the Spanish Club.
In Spanish, the Students will engage in conversations, provide and obtain information, express feelings and emotions, and exchange opinions. Students understand and interpret written and spoken language on a variety of topics. Students present information, concepts, and ideas to an audience of listeners or readers on a variety of topics. Also, the students will demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between the practices and perspectives of the culture studied.
