The Grading Window determines when scores can be posted to official student documents. Grades are posted for individual Grading Tasks (Q1-Q4) and Standards (Elementary). This process moves grades from In-Progress to Posted. Teachers can enter scores for assignments at any time, but the posting of those grades is done during specific dates and times, typically when progress reports are sent out or towards the end of terms.
If a posted grading score is incorrect, an academic grade change is required for the current school year, a teacher, counselor, or Lead Building Administrator may request such a change if it falls outside of the timeframe for which grades may be entered.
Students in Grade 6 through 12 - Such a request shall be made via the Academic Grade Change request, within the Columbus City Schools Distributed Application Services (CCSDAS) Click here to learn more.
Request a grade change for an elementary student - For students in Pre-School, Kindergarten, or grades 1-5, grade changes are not processed in the CCSDAS. The teacher must email the principal with grades that need changed (including reason for change). At the present time, the CCSDAS is not set up to handle standards-based grade changes.
