Applicants must be high school seniors who reside within Mid Penn Bank's service area. Applicants must enroll full-time at an accredited college, university or vocational school in the United States for the fall term of the 2026-2027 school year. Employees of Mid Penn Bank and their immediate family members are not eligible to apply. Customers and non-customers are welcome to apply.

Lancaster Building Industry Foundation
Deadline April 30th, 2026
Awarded to a Lancaster County resident
The recipient’s major field of study, continuing education or trade-related certification must be directly related to the RESIDENTIAL BUILDING INDUSTRY, including, but not limited, to the following building trades: electrical; plumbing; carpentry; cabinetmaking; HVAC; CADD; masonry; painting; sheet metal; mechanical; equipment operation; and safety management.
May reapply annually
Applicants must be seniors or graduates from a public high school in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
Applicants must attend full-time any accredited, public or private, two-year or four-year college, university, or technical college located in the United States in any field of study leading to a degree.
A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
Deadline: March 6, 2026
Award: $5,000
Recipient must be a resident of Lancaster County, PA.
Recipient must be a graduating senior attending a public high school or have completed the GED.
Recipient must have a minimum unweighted cumulative GPA of 2.50.
Recipient must demonstrate financial need.
Recipient must plan to enroll full-time at any two- or four-year college, university, or vocational/technical school at the start of the upcoming academic year.
Preference given to first-generation college students.
Scholarship is renewable for up to a total of four years of undergraduate study. Recipient must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Award: Up to $25,000
Graduating high school senior from Cumberland, Dauphin or Lancaster County schools or a student already in college that lived in Cumberland, Dauphin or Lancaster Counties
Full time attendance at a four-year college/university
Foreign language major
Minimum 3.0 grade point average in foreign language course in high school and/or college
Educational goals, including use of foreign language in career
Personal interview by Committee
Recipients may not be a varsity athlete or receive any athletic scholarships
Personal Essay: Write a 300-word essay discussing your values and your goals for the future. Please share your thoughts about foreign language study as it relates to your values and goals.
Recipients of this scholarship may apply again for up to three consecutive years. Students must submit a full application but may be prompted to complete a different essay.

Gene Hummel Education Scholarship

Award : $1000
Have a 3.5 grade point average.
Be accepted by a college or university.
Degree emphasis shall be in the field of education.
Luthercare Highschool Nursing Scholarship 2026
Deadline: April 2, 2026
Award: Up to $5,000
High school senior in Berks, Lancaster, Lebanon, or York County pursuing a nursing degree
Must Submit a Essay (750 words MAX)
Must submit 2 letters of recommendation (One from a teacher, coach, boss or mentor. One from a community member)

Award: (3) One-year, full-tuition scholarships.
Applicants must be Lancaster County high school seniors who are attending or planning to attend Thaddeus Stevens School of Technology, Millersville University, or Harrisburg Area Community College-Lancaster.
Applicants must answer the following essay question: “What challenges or difficulties- including family, work, personal, social, physical, financial- will this scholarship help you overcome? How will receiving this scholarship help you achieve your educational and career goals?”

Community involvement
Essay to discuss some of your significant life experiences to date, i.e. family situations, school activities, community service, etc. as well as both educational and career goals. 3 page maximum.
Supplemental documents. This may include a resume, letter(s) of recommendation, transcript, FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR), or other scholarship-specific documents. Specific requirements are noted in the application.
Pennsylvania Heritage Foundation Scholarships
Deadline: May 1, 2026 at 11:59pm
Award: (1) $2500 award (1) $1500 award and (6) $1000 awards
Applicants must be attending a Pennsylvania two- or four-year college or university in the fall of 2026.
Applicant must be pursuing a course of study in History or an allied field.
Applicant Must be a current Pennsylvania resident.
Applicant must submit a eassy 1,500 words maximum (not including citations and sources) about a topic of Pennsylvania’s under-recognized History. The essay must be the original work of the applicant and reflect their own voice and ideas. With a Brief explanation of the applicant's path of study in the field of History

WOMEN IN THE TRADES SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Deadline: March 6th, 2026
Eligible applicants: women from Adams, Lancaster, or York Counties
Intended for those seeking post-secondary education
Scholarship funds can be used for tuition or trade tools
Preferred applicants should:
– Have completed at least 5 hours of job shadowing, internship, or co-op in the past year
– Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
– Demonstrate meaningful involvement in a community organization

Award : $500.00
Traits of leadership, citizenship, and service to school and community with an excellent attendance record.
Work, community and/or volunteer activities.
Financial need.
Academic Performance (minimum GPA of 3.0).

In addition to completing the application, students must submit all of the following:
Official High School Transcript.
One letter of recommendation from a business teacher or school counselor who has knowledge of the applicant’s citizenship, academic history/scholarship, and/or activities in the school or local community.
List of all extra-curricular activities, honors and/or community service.
An essay (personal statement of approximately 250 words) “Discuss and accomplishment, event, or realization that sparked a period of personal growth or a new understanding of self or others.”

Financial need
Must maintain a permanent residence in one of the following counties in central Pennsylvania: Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, or York
Must attend or plan to attend an accredited post-secondary institution of higher learning
Essay to describe your future plans in your chosen field; your ideas, goals, interests, experiences, and problems.
Supplemental documents. This may include a resume, letter(s) of recommendation, transcript, FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR), or other scholarship-specific documents. This includes recordings/videos not exceeding 20 minutes of your compositions and/or performances. Specific requirements are noted in the application.
NOTE: Finalists will be notified by early April and will be required to attend a live audition in early May / June in Harrisburg. A short interview may follow the audition.
Deadline: March 15th,2026
Award: $2,000 to help purchase essential items for college, up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters, workshops to learn important life skills not typically covered in the college curriculum, HSF Schwab Brokerage Account to manage to learn how to invest, and up to $8,000 to study and travel abroad.
Must attend a high school located in the United States.
Must be in the high school graduating class.
All students who meet the eligibility criteria can apply regardless of nationality or citizenship.
Must have achieved an unweighted 3.50 CGPA based on a 4.0 Grading Scale.
Must provide a current copy of the applicant’s High School Transcript.
Must provide an “unsealed” Letter of Recommendation. If an unsealed LOR is not available from an educator, provide from a non-educator.
Must enroll in an eligible four-year College or University the first fall semester following high school graduation.
The scholarship cannot be used to attend a community college, junior college, or online institution.
Must maintain a four year or less graduation schedule, or complete the equivalent of a four year degree if in a professional program.
Must work 240 hours from January 1, 2026 until September 1, 2026 to be eligible for a fall semester disbursement. Work must be regularly scheduled non-family employment performed under supervision for compensation. Employment can be full-time or part-time.
Parents Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for 2024 Federal Income Tax Purposes must not have exceeded $125,000.
U.S. Citizens selected as Finalists must provide the first two pages of their FAFSA Summary. The FAFSA Summary must show the SAI.
Non U.S. Citizens selected as Finalists must provide Proof of non-U.S. Citizenship. Copy of Foreign Passport or Green Card.
Must apply for Federal and State grants if eligible.

To be considered for the Donegal-Witness Tree award, the following must be received by the Chairman of the Scholarship Committee of the Donegal-Witness Tree Chapter of the DAR postmarked no later than April, 15th 2026 .
