What is the Show Band?

The Show Band is the group that accompanies the Coalition, Colby's competitive show choir. The band is made up of 9th-12th grade students. The instrumentation for the group fluctuates from year to year, but the following instrumentation is standard:

Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Bari Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Synthesizer (Electric Keyboard), Guitar, Electric Bass, Drum Set, Auxiliary Percussion

This group is a huge time commitment, but it is worth every minute! We get to travel all over the state (and even to our neighboring states like Iowa and Illinois) for competitions. The Choir needs live music to compete, so it is very important we have dedicated musicians in the show band. If you are interested in joining, please see Mr. Larsen ASAP!
